A shot of romance

Once in a while a girl just needs a little romance right? Well, I do and since I’m a true sucker for romantic comedies, I couldn’t wait for the Back-up Plan to hit theatres, so I watched it last night. I totally loved it! Leading rolls are played by Jennifer Lopez and Alex O’Loughlin (I’m in love BTW :P).
The film is about Zoë, a thirty-something girl who has been searching for Mr. Right but still hasn’t found him yet. She’d love to start a family, but getting pregnant is kinda hard without a man, so she decides to get pregnant through insemination. Right after her appointment she meets a guy, Stan, who of course, turns out to be Mr. Right. They fall in love, but then she’s finds out she's pregnant from her first try being inseminated. How do you keep a guy when you’re having someone else’s babies?! Yes, that’s right. Babies. She’s having twins in the movie. Really funny of course, because in real life she also has twins together with singer Marc Anthony.
I really enjoyed watching this movie. I’ve always loved Jennifer in movies. Some of my favourites are The Wedding Planner, Maid in Manhattan and Selena.
I think this movie will be a great comeback for her, since this is her first movie in 4 years.
Her haircut looks really good btw, I think it makes her look very pretty.
Also, a lotttt of Louboutin’s (my favourite!!!) in the movie! I’m guessing she’s Christian Louboutin’s new best friend since her last single, Louboutins, came out.
About Alex O’Loughlin… well… he’s just really hot! And very cute also. Even I would want kids with him :P and you must know, I actually don’t want any! I think I’ll just wait for him to call me then…
Girls, go see this movie if you like a good laugh and if you’re in need of a shot of romance! This is a good one!

Feeling like Carrie

Ladies… throw your piggy banks against the wall and scrape all your money together, we have to go shopping!
Seems like Halston Heritage is doing some fabulous business at the moment. American label Halston launched the line in 2009 and it’s popularity is rising since.
Last January Sarah Jessica Parker signed on to be creative director at Halston Heritage, so I’m super curious about what’s to come!
Sarah is making a great start at her new job by wearing half the collection in the new Sex and the City movie. A couple of dresses popped up in the trailer and now of course every Carrie-addict needs to have them (me included :D ).
There’s a white jersey dress, which was also shown in the first movie poster, an electric blue glitter plissé cocktail dress, an orange plissé silk maxi dress and a peach asymmetric jersey kaftan.
I would love to have the blue dress and the peach kaftan and the good thing is, they aren’t that expensive! OK, no H&M prices here, but Halston Heritage is less expensive than Halston, so it’s optional :D Any favourites for you?

Halston Heratige is available at the following webshops (international shipping);
net-a-porterShopbopMy Theresa and Singer 22.

Pictures and prices are posted below.

White jersey V-neck dress, € 269,- (net-a-porter)
Amazing (and expensive) Christian Louboutin crystal Pigalle pumps in gold. Price around € 2.100,- (Order on request)

Electric blue glitter plissé cocktail dress, $ 435,- (around € 323,-) (Shopbop)

Orange plissé silk maxi dress, $ 895,- (around € 664,-) (Singer 22)

Peach asymmetric jersey kaftan, € 269,- (net-a-porter)

The girls are back!

Morning ladies!
I have a date the 28th of May! And I bet you do too! Aren’t we all going to the movies with our 4 best friends?! Sex and the City 2 will hit theatres in Holland and I’m guessing a 2nd blockbuster is on it’s way!
Last Monday the newest trailer was released with a couple of exciting new details added. One of them being the fact that Aidan (!!!), Carrie’s former marriage-material, returns and may cause some trouble for Big and Carrie… And while Carrie is getting close to her BFF (Best Funiture Friend, LOL) again on the other side of the world, Big is getting distracted by Penelope Cruz! I mean… WHAT IS GOING ONNN?!
I’m soooo excited to see the movie! Too bad we have to wait for almost 6 more weeks… But, I do think it’ll be worth the wait from what I’ve seen.
I’d like to add that I really love the new movie poster. It’s kind of similar to the first one, they just gave her a different outfit and transformed The City into a sparkling, hot and sunny dessert and I have to say, it got me more excited right away!
Both of the posters and the newest trailer I have posted below. Watch it and love it! Any It-bags, -shoes, -dresses spotted already?!

O MY GODDDD!

I’ve been so busy with… well… everything besides my blog lately, I think it has been about 3 weeks since my last post, so it’s about time for an update, right?!
As I’ve mentioned before the H&M Garden Collection launched the 25th of March, and me and my friend Doreen got up early and went to the store about 09.15AM. When we got there, there were around 5 other girls standing in line for H&M’s Spring must-haves. That’s not too many so I thought it wouldn’t be too hard to get my hands on the ‘amazing’ red dress… WRONG! When the doors opened at 10AM, we ran (how pathetic :P haha) down the stairway, and… were completely surprised by the fact that there were already a lot of women shopping the collection! It turned out H&M opened the inside entrance earlier than the front, which they never do! Of course… when I got to the clothes, ‘my dress’… was gone! I was sooo disappointed! A week earlier the collection launched in the Online Shop, and the first thing I did was put the dress in my shopping basket. When I wanted to place my order a few minutes later… My size was already sold out!
I couldn’t believe this! How is it possible I missed out twice (!) on the dress that I wanted sooo bad for months! This was unacceptable! When I got home, I immediately jumped behind my laptop and searched http://www.marktplaats.nl/ (Dutch Ebay) for my dress. The next day I made a deal. OK, I had to pay a little extra, but… I GOT MY DRESS! :D I’ll post a pic of me wearing it later today ;)
I also had a little fight with H&M about my online order btw! I had ordered most of the things I wanted online, so I didn’t need to go to the store to get them. About a week after the official launch my order was about to be shipped, but as I checked my items one more time, I noticed a dress was missing in my order! I called right away and was told the supplier wasn’t able to deliver the dress anymore, and that they were very, very sorry… I was furious! I could have picked it up in the store before but I didn’t because I would receive it at home! When I finally got over the fact that I wasn’t receiving the dress… the rest of my order got delivered. And guess what?! 2 other dresses also got deleted! I’m mad, but it turned out that calling H&M doesn’t help, so I think I just had bad luck (!) this time…
For now, I promise this will be my last post about The Garden Collection :P enough is enough, right?!

See you soon!
