8 wins for GaGa!

Woohoooo!

This morning my alarm clock woke me up with great news! Lady GaGa, one of my favourite (!) artists ever, had a great night at the Video Music Awards yesterday! She was nominated 13 times which is an absolute record, and managed to win in 8 categories, of which 7 were for her amazing 'Bad Romance' video! How amazing is that?!

I really envy her. Her beautiful strong voice, the fact that she wears litterally EVERYTHING no mather what people may think of her (she made another 'shocking' statement again at the VMA's by putting on a 'meat'dress! Complete with shoes, a purse and even at meat hat!), her uniqueness, her support for the gay community and people daring to be different. I think it's unbelievable a single person can change so many lives in just two years. I'd say GaGa has the triple X-factor, I can't think of any one else that is more talented than her.

When she arrived at the award show she was wearing a beautiful (theatrical) Alexander McQueen gown with 'the' famous 12" (30,5 cm) 'Armadillo' heels (featured in the picture in my header). A gorgeous total look if you ask me. I also loved her new blue-ends wig and make-up very much! I'm not sure about this meat-dress but it's definately GaGa. I'm wondering how may people she drove away with the smell of that dress. It probably wasn't her perfume that dominated the look!

One more thing to add is that she announced the name of her upcoming album! It will be called; Born This Way. I'm curious to know when the album will be released! I really need some new GaGa-material!

Seeing the pictures makes me sooo excited for her concert November 30th! The MonsterBall Tour returns to Holland for two nights and even though I have already seen the show I can't miss out on this one either! It's just too f*cking fabulous!

Pretty Little Liars

Hey guys!
Just a quick one today since I'm pretty busy at work (it's my last week here and there are all those loose ends that need to be tight up before I leave ;) ).
I've been watching this new series and I'm hooked! I love this show! It's 'Desperate Housewives' but with teenagers! Poor in a little 'Gossip Girl' and POOF! Pretty Little Liars is born!
ABC's newest show is based on the best-selling book series Pretty Little Liars written by Sara Shepherd.
I bought the first book about two years ago but for some reason I still haven't read it. When I discovered the TV series I needed to watch it!
The story is about 5 girls from a town called Rosewood. While they're having a sleepover in a barn, one of them, Alison, disappears. About a year later her body is found and the others think they can finally move on until... they all start receiving texts, emails and letters from... A.
Except for the whole mistery around A. they all have their secrets. To name one; Aria meets a cute guy in a bar and falls for him pretty hard. Him: same story. When she walks into English class the next day she meets her new teacher. Yup. It's her cute bar-boy. What to do when you're in love with your teacher?! OMG I looooove stories like these. Forbidden romances... could watch 'em for ever!
Earlier this year ABC announced their new show to premiere in June. The first season has already ended and existed out of 10 episodes. I've watched all 10 of them and I'm definately hungry for more! The show will be back somewhere this Fall. Let's hope it won't be to long!
It wasn't announced to premiere on Dutch television yet, but I'm sure it won't be long until NET 5 (I'm guessing they'll broadcast it) does.

Bye Bye Betty

Any of you watch Ugly Betty? I’m sure most of you know, but the show revolves around main character Betty Suarez (America Ferrera), who starts a job at a huge fashion magazine, even though she is not interested in fashion AT ALL. She works her way up and gains more respect along the way.
I really enjoyed watching the Dutch version ‘Lotte’ so I started following Ugly Betty too. It was a little different from the Dutch show, but I did like it.
I always watch it online because Holland is soooo far behind with episodes, and last Sunday I finally had some time to catch up (I hadn’t watched in a couple of weeks). I was about 5 episodes behind, so I had a little UB-marathon.
When Betty finally got her braces removed I got kinda suspicious… “was the show ending?”
And it was!!! These 5 were the last ones to watch!
I have to say, I’m not satisfied with the ending. It wasn’t romantic enough! We finally (!) got to see that Daniel (Betty’s boss and close friend) is actually in love with her, but then he doesn’t tell her! He does follow her to London, where she’s starting a new job, but that’s it. I would have loved to see them ending up together, but I guess we’ll never know for sure.
In ‘Lotte’ it did end romantic. Vico, the Dutch Daniel, confessed his love to Lotte (Betty), and in the final episode they get married. Wouldn’t you rather have seen this ending for Ugly Betty?! What do you think?
I have to ad that I did love Betty’s final look. New glasses, new clothes and of course… NO braces! She really looked good! But, we all know America is a beautiful woman who never really was ugly, right?!

X Factor Winner?!

Heyhey, here I am again!

I don't know why, but I'm a talentshow addict. I know, I know... They're all kind of the same, but I'm a true sucker for good voices!

A couple of weeks ago a new season of the Dutch X Factor started and there's this one guy, Kelvin Muïs, whose voice totally makes me melt... OMG, I love it...!

He makes all the songs sound like his own by making subtle changes in the melodies

The finals haven't even started yet but I allready think this guy should win!
